2011年1月12日立法院三讀通過國民教育法第10條修正案，明訂國民中小學需設專任輔導教師與專業輔導人員，總計要新增專任輔導教師1,647人，專業輔導人員(心理師、社工師)467人，2014年10月28日立法院又三讀通過學生輔導法，未來將增8千名輔導教師，基於國民教育法第10條逐年增置專任輔導教師之基礎，除106年7月31日前將完成設置3,072名專任輔導教師外，自106年8月1日起將再依本法規定逐年增置。未來公私立高中以下學校每校均需置專任輔導教師，並再依班級數增置，全國預計將有8,158名專任輔導教師；較現行相關法令規定增加5,086人，將可大幅提升學校輔導能量。且定明高級中等以下學校及主管機關置專任專業輔導人員（心理師或社工師）之規定，未來將置專任專業輔導人員747名；並定明專科以上學校每1,200學生應置專業輔導人員1人，健全三級輔導體制及人力，以提供學生輔導服務。本系是全國唯一同時培養專任輔導教師與專業輔導人員(諮商心理師、社工師)的系所，再加上企業諮商與員工協助方案的需求越來越高，本系也是全世界第一個創設員工協助方案學分學程與碩士專班的系所，畢業生的生涯發展前景相當看好。加上本校又有充沛的師資培育課程名額，無論是要申請入學與繁星推薦或是考試分發要進入大學部或者要推薦甄試或入學考試進入研究所，彰師大輔諮系是您最佳的選擇。

Reason 6: Fit in Needs, Leading Bright Future

January 12, 2011, Compulsory Education Law 10th amendment completed the Third Reading in the Legislative Yuan. The law stipulates that elementary and junior high school must offer school guidance counselors and professional counselors. Because of this law, the entire society needs 1647 school guidance counselors and 467 professional counselors (including school psychologists and school social workers) in total. October 28, 2014, Student Guidance and Counseling Act completed the Third Reading in the Legislative Yuan. The law stipulates that schools need to offer 8000 school guidance counselors. Also, on the basis of the Compulsory Education Law 10th, the numbers of school guidance counselor would be increased each year since August 1st, 2017. (Apart from the 3072 school guidance counselors that would be offered before July 31, 2017). Due to these laws, every elementary and junior high school need to hire  school guidance counselors and to increase the number of it according to the the number of class.  Because of the fact, it is estimated that 8158 school guidance counselors would be offered in the future. There are 5086 more school guidance counselors than before. This situation is good to stronger the power of school guidance and counseling works. Changes happens on (school) psychologists and (school) social workers too. The numbers of psychologists and social workers in some competent authorities are also increased. There are 747 professional counselors would be offered. The laws stipulate that each 1200 students in junior college or higher education level must have 1 school guidance counselor, so that we can have better guidance and counseling environment. We are the only department that educate professional counselors (school psychologists and school social workers) and  school guidance counselors at the same time. We also set up Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), In-service Master Program of Mental Health and Consultation because of the rising needs of workplace counselors and employee assistance professionals.
